Garden of Celtic Saints

garden of celtic saints irvinestownWelcome to the Garden of Celtic Saints. This is a place of prayer and reflection, a place of beauty and hope.
It is filled with memories of the Saints of the Golden Age of the Irish Church. The names of Patrick, Brigid, Columcille, Columbanus, Gall, Kilian and Molaise will bring to mind the riches and glories that existed in the Irish Church from the time of Saint Patrick.

The sculptures in the garden were carved by Jonas Raiskas, a native of Lithuania who came to work in Irvinestown in 2007. He worked from 2007 until 2011 carving all the beautiful figures in the garden.

As you walk through this garden and reflect on the lives of the Saints represented in the sculptures, we hope you will be refreshed by:
- their reverence for the Holy Scriptures;
- their deep sense of community in the Body of Christ at prayer;
- their sense of tradition and continuity with past heroes of faith and
- their love of Creation

The gardens can be visited any time with guided tours at 12.00pm & 2.00pm.
